Saturday, May 3, 2008 - Shrunken Balls and Steep Hills (#106)
Stepping up to the plate for his virgin haring début was Chip Off The Old Twat, and joining him was co-hare Sticky Banana. Our initial beer warm up proved to challenging for Hula who broke the neck off while attempting to open a "twist-top" bottle.

It was a Choo Choo first as the hares were off promptly at 2:30.  After a 10 minute wait and a 2 minute walk the groups instincts proved correct as we were lead directly under a bridge with waste high water.   Tit Wringer complained about the cold water and Twat was kind enough to raise the temperature downstream by a couple of degrees.  We continued across the rail tracks into what could have been a rice patty field.  There were many stream crossings with hidden potholes that put us in water up to our necks.

After the stream it was all uphill, our first accent awarded the group a beer check.   Sticky made up for the last hash with two beer checks on this one.  The middle stage continued uphill to a bad trail on the downside.  Everyone
except Hula met at the second beer check to enjoy a cold beverage.  Hula had blazed through a bad trail marking and ran down the Tennessee River for a mile before turning back (sound familiar?).

We all departed the second beer check after a 10/2.  After all the uphill running it was a relief to see the Beer Near although the group was aghast to find an intersection after the BN marking.  Cocksicle must have helped scout this trail.

Chip and Sticky did a great job it was an excellent trail with perfect weather.   The on-after was at a local pub with great burgers.
